I invite you to a psychopathological evaluation
An in-depth clinical-psychological assessment that focuses on cognitive structure, personality, the emotional-volitional sphere, and voluntary regulation of behavior—that is, on those aspects of the psyche that are not revealed during a brief clinical interview in the doctor’s office but are crucial for differential diagnosis.
The diagnostic process consists of two 80-minute sessions or a single session (3 hours, including a break). The format is online. Processing the results and preparing the integrative syndromic analysis takes 2–3 days. It includes differential diagnostic findings, a report for the psychiatrist, and recommendations for further action. The report is 8–12 pages long.
Psychiatrists usually have little time for such painstaking work. But it is precisely this work that resolves the diagnostic dilemma.

What does the diagnostic process involve?
The assessment is conducted using standard psychopathological methods in accordance with the DSM-5 and ICD-11. Most of the instruments have undergone full psychometric validation on a Ukrainian sample; the rest are used in working Ukrainian adaptations.
Clinical Interview
Structured interview: collection of medical history, symptoms, case history, and clinical context. Includes the QuickSCID-5—a rapid, structured protocol for screening mental disorders according to the DSM-5. It enables the formulation of primary diagnostic hypotheses, which are subsequently verified using diagnostic tools.
Thinking Assessment
Classic psychopathological techniques: “Proverbs,” “Elimination of the Superfluous,” “Pictograms,” “Luria’s 10 Words”. These assess the ability to generalize, symbolize, and mediate—functions whose deficits underlie psychopathological syndromes of the schizophrenic spectrum.
Assessment of Voluntary Control of Activity
The Bourdon Proofreading Test and the Krepelin Test. These tests identify patterns of attention, work capacity, and the ability to remember instructions, as well as dissociation between the operational and regulatory levels of activity. They help distinguish functional impairments from structural features of regulation characteristic of schizophrenia spectrum disorders.
Projective Assessment
The Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) in its abbreviated form consists of 4–5 cards. It identifies internal conflicts, personality patterns, the quality of interpersonal representations, and the specifics of emotional functioning. It is particularly valuable in cases where the client is unable or unwilling to speak directly about their condition—the projective material reveals what cannot be gleaned from the interview.
Стандартизированные скрининговые опросники
Current diagnostic tools according to the DSM-5: SPQ-B (screening for schizotypal traits across cognitive-perceptual, interpersonal, and disorganized domains) and PID-5-BF (structure of pathological personality traits across five domains: negative affectivity, detachment, antagonism, disinhibition, and psychoticism).
Personalized selection of additional techniques
The assessment may include tools designed to specifically evaluate specific areas. These include: MHA — screening for anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic symptoms, as well as risks of alcohol abuse. DERS — assesses emotional regulation. If necessary, the PHQ-9 (depression), GAD-7 (anxiety), and PCL-5 (PTSD) are used.
